Meet Nautilus the Noble.

Ancient, dignified and moving through life at precisely the speed he considers appropriate, Nautilus the Noble is one of the more distinguished creatures to emerge from the House of Kyrtex.

His wonderfully textured shell is built from layers of folded and hardened fabric, creating deep ridges and sweeping, organic folds across his back. His head and limbs are individually sculpted and wrapped, with expressive detailing around the face and eye giving him a remarkably watchful, almost prehistoric appearance.

Finished by hand in deep earthy tones with bronze, copper and muted green metallic highlights, every raised edge and fold catches the light differently, revealing the depth and texture across his entire form.

Nautilus was created individually using fabric, Powertex and mixed-media sculpting techniques. He wasn't made from a pattern or produced as part of a run; his pose, textures and expression developed organically as he was made, ensuring there will never be another quite like him.

There is something wonderfully calm and ancient about Nautilus — the sort of creature who appears to know exactly where he's going, even if nobody else has the patience to wait and find out.
