Ember - Fabric Sculpted Cat

Meet Ember.

Cheeky, mischievous and almost certainly up to something, Ember is one of the more spirited inhabitants of the House of Kyrtex.

With her body slightly crouched, head tilted and that unmistakable “I didn't do it” expression, Ember has the look of a cat who has just been caught somewhere she absolutely shouldn't be. Whether she's about to cause trouble or has already caused it is difficult to say — but innocence seems unlikely.

Individually hand sculpted using fabric and Powertex, Ember’s coat is built from layers of material, creating the wonderfully wild texture that gives her so much character. Metallic pigments are applied by hand across the raised surfaces, catching the light and revealing the depth and detail within every fold.

Like all House of Kyrtex characters, Ember wasn't created from a pattern or produced as part of a run. Her pose, expression, textures and finishing developed individually as she was made, ensuring that there will never be another quite like her.

Full of mischief, attitude and suspiciously convincing innocence, Ember is perfect for anyone who knows that when a cat says “I didn't do it,” you should probably check what's been knocked over.
