Midnight - Fabric Sculpted Cat

Meet Midnight.

Elegant, mysterious and entirely unimpressed by your presence, Midnight is one of the darker inhabitants of the House of Kyrtex.

With her shadowy colouring, watchful eyes and unmistakable feline attitude, Midnight has the air of a creature who knows considerably more than she's willing to tell you. She doesn't seek attention. She simply assumes that, eventually, you'll realise she's the most important thing in the room.

Midnight is individually hand sculpted using fabric and Powertex, with layers of material carefully arranged and hardened to create her wonderfully tactile, almost windswept coat. Metallic pigments are then applied by hand, catching the raised textures and revealing subtle flashes of colour as the light moves across her.

Like all House of Kyrtex characters, Midnight wasn't created from a pattern or produced as part of a run. Her pose, expression, textures and finishing developed individually as she was made, giving her a character entirely her own.

Dark, slightly aloof and perhaps just a little magical, Midnight is perfectly suited to anyone who appreciates cats, curious creatures and artwork that refuses to behave itself.
