Meet The Clockwork Empress.

Elegant, commanding and seemingly powered by mechanisms no one fully understands, The Clockwork Empress is a one-of-a-kind masquerade mask with the presence of royalty from an altogether more mechanical realm.

Her richly textured surface has been built up layer by layer, creating an ornate, aged finish that feels part ceremonial relic, part fantastical machine. The result is a mask that looks as though it belongs to someone who rules with impeccable manners, absolute authority and perhaps the occasional turn of a hidden key.

Individually handcrafted using mixed-media and Powertex techniques, The Clockwork Empress began as a wearable mask before being transformed into an original piece of House of Kyrtex art.

She remains wearable, making her perfectly suited to masquerade balls, steampunk gatherings, gothic events and theatrical occasions. When not being worn, she makes an equally striking display piece — although she does rather give the impression that she is still keeping an eye on the proceedings.
